Bad Pixies
Follow the adventures of 3 mischievous pixies as they strive to unlock an evil spell while facing up against such obstacles as orcs, demons, dwarves.....and brandy.
In distant magical lands, pixies, elves, sprites, and other fantastic creatures live in a safe tranquil wilderness. Here they are free from the destructive forces of a human dominated world and the vile creatures that mankind has inflicted on other realms. For most of these realms all is peaceful and happy but in some areas the tranquil wilderness still has its corruption.
The origins of the Bad Pixies comic series
The idea for Bad Pixies was spurred on by prominent cosplayer Shantel Knight during a conversation with Vedder Press publisher Douglas Lloyd. She asked Doug why he wasn’t writing comic books. His reply was that he wanted to focus on writing Dungeons & Dragons and other TTRPGs and maybe the occasional short story.
Since Vedder Press and Shantel attended numerous conventions a year, including comic conventions, it made sense to dive into comic book writing to reach these comic book markets. Douglas decided to venture into comic book writing, but in a way that would encompass his love for D&D and include Shantel as a cosplay artist. Doug approached an artist at Fan Expo Canada in 2013 who had an interest in combining illustration with cosplay artists, and as they say, the rest is history.
Bad Pixies will follow a 15-issue story arc.
